How to open an Elluminate Conference from a Blackboard Content Area

Make sure that your computer has speakers and a microphone installed. The use of headphones is highly recommended.

1. Go to Blackboard (blackboard.stedwards.edu)

2. Log into Blackboard using your username and password

3. Navigate to the Content Area that contains the Elluminate link previously created by your instructor. i.e. Assignments

4. Click on the Elluminate assignment previously created by your instructor. i.e. Assignments.

5. Click on the Join button.

6. A launching page will appear, giving you the opportunity to manually start the session.

Note: On some browsers, a File Download (getAdapterJNLP.jnlp) window may appear before the session or recording can begin downloading. Respond with Open or OK.

7. An Elluminate Live! session will open or an Elluminate Live! recording will begin playing.
