Product Lifecycle Management
PLM, Product Lifecycle Management is the methodology of planning the lifecycle of computer hardware.
- SEU has developed a lifecycle management plan that includes; purchasing specifications, product lifecycle estimation and disposal or removal from service.
- I.T. is responsible for establishing specifications for computers, peripherals and technology equipment across campus and comprehending the university’s budgets for technology.
Instructional Technology will promote donations, sales and grants to offer obsolete equipment to non-profit organizations as an alternative to disposal. The targeted goal is that organizations receiving donations will be instructed to recycle equipment and information will be provided in regards to vendors. Donation and resale will gradually supplant disposal. |
