| Instructions for Requesting Software All faculty, staff, lab and classroom computers have Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) installed under our Microsoft Campus Agreement. All faculty/staff computers also have Eudora, CRT/Secure CRT, WS_FTP/WinSCP or Fetch (Mac OS) as well as Internet Explorer installed. NetOctopus is installed on every computer for asset management and remote deployment of software. Other software must be requested. Note: We CANNOT order software for home or personal computers. Please fill out a Sofware Request Form for each separate software package you need.If you are requesting software, your Cost Center Manager will need to email Tony Acevedo (tonya@stedwards.edu) with an account number before the software can be ordered. The email from your Cost Center Manager can be submitted after you have received confirmation from the Help Desk that your Software Request Form has been received.
Classroom Or Lab Computers Please submit your request at least 3 weeks prior to the date needed for class or lab. If you need students to be able to access software that accompanies a textbook, you MUST order this software by giving us the name of the textbook. Students CANNOT install software in the labs. We MUST own a license to that software by purchasing a copy of the textbook and then installing the software on a computer in the lab. To order software for your University owned computer, simply fill out the Software Request Form. Click on the button at the bottom of this page to access the Software Request Form. Your request will be received and processed by the Help Desk. The Help Desk will send you verification of your request via email. If you have any questions about your software request, the installation of your software, or need to modify your request, please call the Help Desk at 448-8443 (x8443 on campus) or email the Help Desk at helpline@acad.stedwards.edu.
