1. Describe your idea of a perfect day in Austin.
Breakfast at Kerbey Lane Café, putt-putt golf at the iconic Peter Pan Mini Golf, shopping the unique stores on South Congress, a movie at Alamo Drafthouse and a sunset dinner at Hula Hut on the lake.
2. What’s your favorite part of an application to read?
I love reading essays that tell me about a student’s passions or quirks. Some memorable essays I've read told me about a student’s collection of Converse shoes, a belief in books, the healing power of food in a community, and the significance of a large boiling pot to a Cajun family displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
3. Any advice for people visiting campus?
When you visit campus, pick up some lunch from one of our cafés, then spread out a blanket and have a picnic under the massive live oak trees in front of Main Building. The view of campus and downtown is amazing!
