Alternative Loans
St.
Edward's maintains information on a number of alternative
loan programs. Generally, these loans are deferrable
while the student is enrolled in school at least part-time.
Additionally, these loans do not require a student
to complete a need analysis document (the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid), although they do require
the completion of a loan application/promissory note.
For more information regarding these various alternative
loan programs, contact our Alternative Loan Coordinator
at 512-416-5817.
Third-party billing
At
a student's request, St. Edward's will bill employers
or other entities (such as ROTC or trust funds) which
pay for all or part of a student's tuition cost (this
does not include family members who pay tuition costs
on behalf of a student). Students who take advantage
of this plan must submit documentation of their Third-Party's
intent to pay before the start of each semester.
Employer
Deferred Payment plan (EDPAY)
School
of Management and Business may enroll in the Employer Deferred Payment plan (EDPAY).
In this program, students pay a percentage of their
tuition cost plus a small fee per class at the beginning
of the semester. The remaining amount is due one month
after the end of the semester.
Graduate
business
students must complete an enrollment packet to participate
in this program. You may request this packet by contacting
the Office of Student Financial Services at (512)
448-8523 or download
from our Web site.
Monthly
Arrangement Payment Plan (MAPP)
Students
may take advantage of this payment plan to pay out
their expenses over the course of a semester. The
university does not charge interest for the deferred
portion of the payment plan, although it does charge
a nominal participation fee each semester. Students
can elect to enroll in this plan during registration.
To have the monthly payments automatically billed
to a credit card, families or students should complete
the Autobill Authorization Form, available through
the office of Student Financial Serices, and submit
it to our office. [Student
Financial Services Web page]
