Shimmering Sounds of Santoor
Jones Auditorium, Robert and Pearle Ragsdale Center

The St. Edward's community is invited to a multimedia event, Shimmering Sounds of Santoor, featuring touring Hindustani musicians Tarun Bhattacharya on santoor and his tabla accompanist Subrata Bhattacharya. Opening the evening will be the Sangeet Millennium Ensemble, which fuses classical Indian and jazz music, led by Austin sitarist Amie Maciszewski. Through collaboration with media artist ms. mars, the evening will be enhanced by visual projections of Ragamala paintings, which depict the colorful, emotive sounds and visual images of raga, the varied melody types in Indian music. The event is free to St. Edward's University students, faculty and staff members with ID.

University Emergency Preparedness Information Session

Are you interested in the university's emergency preparedness or how you can help? Are you a floor safety coordinator, area coordinator, resident director or Housing staff member? Are you familiar with the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), or are you a CERT team member outside of the university?

If you are any one of the above and missed the first round of information sessions, please attend one of the information sessions being held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 29; Tuesday, June 5; and Tuesday, June 26

The session will provide awareness training and information about the floor safety coordinators, area coordinator positions and the new Campus-Community Emergency Response Team (C-CERT). Please bring your own lunch. http://www.stedwards.edu/emergency/index.htm.
