Spotlight on Opera Workshop
Age range of Workshop Participants:* 17 and up, must read music.

Meetings: MWF 6 - 9 p.m., Saturday 10-1:00, one performance on Sunday, July 27,
3 p.m.

Always wanted a chance to be in the spotlight? Here’s the opportunity to be a star in your own fully staged opera scenes as well as a chance to sing a role in a complete one-act opera performed with piano. Hone your performance skills as you receive coaching and direction from professional performers, voice teachers, pianists, and directors including Cindy Sadler & Bruce Cain. Fee:  $275.00

*Requirements:* Must read music and arrive at the workshop with assigned roles fully learned and memorized. Assignments are made by audition. Singers are responsible for obtaining their own musical scores.

*Auditions:* To be held Saturday, May 24 at St. Edward's. Singers must submit resume, bio, and headshot for consideration and present two contrasting opera arias; at least one in French, Italian, German, Russian, or Czech. A pianist will be provided.

This fast-paced week of singing, acting and dancing is sure to have your young performer motivated to learn more about the wonderful world of musical theatre.
