AUSTIN-St.
Edward's University Board of Trustees approved the appointment of
two new trustees at its September board meeting (Friday, September
15, 2000).
New
members joining St. Edward's University's Board of Trustees are
Stephen Jones, president of Stephen Jones Asset Management, Ltd.,
an investment company, and Edward E. Leyden, principal and president
of Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas.
Jones
earned his bachelor of business administration degree from the University
of Texas and his master of business administration from St. Edward's
University. He has served on the Steering Committee for the university's
Business Development Council and is an adjunct faculty member in
the MBA program. Leyden received his bachelor of arts degree in
education from St. Edward's University and his master of science
in education from Barry University in Florida.
Leyden,
also a former Brother of Holy Cross, recently received an award
recognizing his years of distinguished service to Catholic education.
He also serves as site visitor for the U.S. Department of Education's
Blue Ribbon Schools program.
St.
Edward's University is an independent Catholic liberal arts university
of 3,800 students in Austin.
