AUSTIN St. Edward's University will recognize graduating
students in two ceremonies on Saturday, Dec. 14, in the Recreation
and Convocation Center on campus.
Bruce
Mills, '90, chief of public safety at Austin-Bergstrom International
Airport, will deliver the keynote address at the College of Professional
and Graduate Studies ceremony at 10 a.m. Eliseo Elizondo, '87, MBA
'98, chemical commodity manager at Motorola, will deliver the keynote
address for the Undergraduate College ceremony at 3 p.m.
Mills
spent 26 years with the Austin Police Department, most recently
as assistant chief of police. In addition to a bachelor's degree
in liberal studies from St. Edward's, he also holds a master's degree
in criminal justice from Southwest Texas State University. Elizondo
entered St. Edward's University through the College Assistance Migrant
Program (CAMP) and continues to be an active mentor for migrant
students. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's
degree in business administration from St. Edward's University.
St.
Edward's University officials will confer approximately 374 degrees
this fall. Degree distribution follows:
