AUSTIN
- While self-help and business management books fly off bookshelves
across the nation, the way St. Edward's University professor and
author Brad Fregger uses personal stories to change beliefs, attitudes
and perceptions makes his two new books stand out. Instead of giving
readers untested management concepts and theories, he provides the
practical nuts and bolts on how to get things done.
Fregger, executive in residence for the Graduate School of Management
at St. Edward's University, has published two new books: Get
Things Done Ten Secrets of Creating and Leading Exceptional
Teams and One Shovel Full Telling Stories to Change
Beliefs, Attitudes and Perceptions.
Fregger is president and chief executive officer of Groundbreaking
Productions (www.groundbreaking.com) and has 45 years combined experience
in retailing, corporate training, publishing and software. He is
the founder of three major corporate training departments (Mervyn's,
Atari and Activision), and has created more than 125 consumer and
business products. As executive in residence, Fregger develops and
teaches classes in the MBA program and the Master of Science in
Organizational Leadership and Ethics program. He has a master's
degree in futuristics.
Founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross, St. Edward's University
is an independent Catholic liberal arts university of 4,100 students
in Austin.
