St. Edward's University softball players
recognized by the Heartland Conference


AUSTIN - Seven St. Edward's University softball players were recognized by the Heartland Conference for outstanding academic achievement.

Tiffany Tirres, '03, of San Antonio (Churchill High School) and Kelly Teefey, '02, of Carrollton (Newman Smith High School) were named to the 2001-2002 President's Honor Roll, which recognizes students with a 3.5 grade point average or higher.

Nicole Lozano, '02, of San Antonio (Taft High School); Connie Rey Rodriguez, '04, of San Antonio (Churchill High School); Cecilia Hasdorff, '03, of Austin (Lanier High School); Tanya Lyons, '03, of Houston (Mayde Creek High School); and Erin Wortham, '04, of Austin (Westwood High School) were named to the 2001-2002 Commissioner's Honor Roll, which recognizes students with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.

St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic liberal arts university of 4,100 students in Austin. It was founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
