AUSTIN
St. Edwards University received a near $85,000 grant
to establish a School of Education teaching lab from the Telecommunications
Infrastructure Fund (TIF) Board from the state of Texas. The grant
will allow St. Edwards to enhance integrated technology and
strengthen its technological infrastructure.
St. Edwards University was one of more than 100 institutions
to receive this grant, which includes strategies to help accomplish
many of the goals of Closing the Gaps, a statewide campaign to improve
awareness of higher education opportunities and increase college
participation rates in Texas.
Founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross, St. Edwards University
is an independent, Catholic liberal arts university of more than
4,200 students in Austin, Texas.
