St. Edward's University is pleased to present Ray Donley:
A 25-year Retrospective, an exhibition featuring work from Central
Texas artist Ray Donley. The exhibition will be on display Friday,
Oct. 17 through Friday, Nov. 7 in the gallery of the Fine Arts Center
on campus. An opening reception will be held Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
Born
in Austin, Donley is a master of oil and is particularly noted for
his haunting, mysterious and solitary figures. Since 1981 he has
exhibited in numerous museums, universities and galleries throughout
the U.S., Europe and Mexico. His figurative paintings were featured
in the film The Life of David Gale which was filmed in Austin. Donley
is currently working on a book of his art, scheduled for publication
in 2004.
Exhibition
hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission

Founded
by the Congregation of Holy Cross, St. Edward's University
