St.
Edward’s University is pleased to present exhibited work by
photocommunications faculty members Bill Kennedy, Sybil Miller,
Ann N. Paterra and Joe Vitone. The exhibition will be on display
Jan. 23 through Feb. 22 in the gallery of the Fine Arts Center on
campus. An opening reception will be held Friday, Jan. 23, from
6 to 8 p.m.
Associate
Professor Bill Kennedy will exhibit “Front Yards,” black
and white images taken along the New England coast. Professor Sybil
Miller will show color work from her ongoing series “Statesmen:
Pictures from the Fifty State Capitols,” photographing and
re-interpreting the portraits of former governors and other state-level
leaders that line U.S. state rotundas, capitol hallways and senate
chambers. Adjunct Instructor Ann N. Paterra will exhibit alternative
process Kallitype prints that explore the space where water and
sky meet in her series “Surface Meditations.” Professor
Joe Vitone will exhibit large-scale black and white photography
from his extensive work depicting modes of life in the Costa Rican
countryside.
Exhibition hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
