In
this Tony Award–winning play by Peter Shaffer, court composer
Antonio Salieri has his faith in God shattered as his ego and his
mediocrity go into battle against the brilliance of Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart. As Salieri realizes the musical genius embodied in this
foul-mouthed childish man, he sets out to destroy Mozart —
no matter what the cost. Brought to life by the award-winning directorial
team of Scott Thompson and Richard Byron and guest designed by Paul
Black and Susan Branch, AMADEUS promises to be a powerful and compelling
production.
