St.
Edward’s University administrators recently announced the
appointment of Marsha Kelliher, former dean of the Graduate School
of Management, to dean of the School of Management and Business.
In July, St. Edward’s merged its undergraduate School of Business
Administration and Graduate School of Management to form the School
of Management and Business.
With extensive
experience in both the courtroom and classroom, Kelliher has designed
and instructed numerous courses, including Business Law and Ethics,
Labor Relations, and E-Commerce and the Law. A past winner of the
Greater Austin YWCA Woman of the Year in Education, Kelliher is
committed to helping others achieve their goals through consulting
and her involvement in community programs such as the International
Center of Austin, Leadership Texas, the Association of Women in
Technology Austin, and the YWCA.
“Marsha
is not only a valued teacher but also a well-respected leader,”
said George E. Martin, president of St. Edward’s University.
“She encourages and motivates other faculty members with her
passion for academic excellence, strong and sincere community involvement,
innovation, and ethics.”
Kelliher earned
her law degree from South Texas College of Law and graduated cum
laude from the University of San Diego with a specialized law degree
in Labor and Employment Law. She holds an undergraduate degree in
Personnel Management with a concentration in Labor Relations from
Indiana University. She has practiced law in both Texas and California
and is an arbitrator and certified mediator.

by the Congregation of Holy Cross, St. Edward’s University
