AUSTIN
— St. Edward’s University presented 12 students with
Presidential Awards for the 2003–2004 academic school year.
The university’s prestigious Presidential Awards are given
to six to 12 qualified outstanding seniors and graduate students
who exemplify qualities of leadership and academic performance,
including the students’ contributions and service to the university
and other communities.
Faculty, staff and students nominate undergraduate and graduate
students, who must complete essays, provide information on activities
and honors, and submit letters of recommendation. Award recipients
are named annually in May.
Founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross, St. Edward’s University
has been named as one of America’s Best Colleges for 2004
by U.S. News & World Report. St. Edward’s is
a private Catholic, liberal arts university of approximately 4,450
students located in Austin, Texas.
