Busy Person's Retreat
When was the last time you took a break from your hectic schedule to reflect on the direction of your life? The Busy Person’s Retreat, offered by Campus Ministry, is a welcoming environment for people of all faiths. Based on the Lenten traditions but tailored to your needs by a spiritual companion, you’ll be guided through a series of exercises to help you:
- Find your spiritual center
- Examine your relationship with God
- Rejuvenate through contemplation and prayer
The retreat is centered around weekly meetings with a spiritual director, which last about an hour, throughout Lent, Feb. 8 – March 17. Participants also come together to kick off the retreat with a community prayer service and to celebrate their growth as a group at the end of the retreat.
Testimonials
Here are just a few examples of how previous attendees have benefited from the program:
- The Busy Person’s retreat lets you talk to someone about prayer in a friendly environment.
- I didn’t have to give up a whole chunk of time — I could meet between classes.
- I enjoyed speaking with my spiritual companion and gained new insight into prayer, how to make use of it and incorporate it into everyday life.
- Just having someone to open up to who listens really makes a difference.
