Transformation Through Service

"...the farther we go in giving the more we stand to receive." Holy Cross Constitutions 2, 17 As a leader in the Holy Cross tradition of service, St. Edward's offers you the unique opportunity to participate in transformational events that allow you to impact your community.

Service projects, offered through the Office of Service and Community Involvement, are a great way to explore the larger questions of social justice. Through projects such as S.E.R.V.E. Austin, Hunger Week and other local volunteer opportunities, you'll have the chance to examine your responsibility to the world and tackle far-reaching themes of social justice. Become a voice for the voiceless or perhaps even find a new path for yourself.

In addition to examining important social justice issues, one of the best things about service opportunities at St. Edward's is having the time to step back and get some perspective about your own values, while sharing this experience with fellow students. While you’re making a difference in Austin, you’ll develop life-long skills and profoundly impact the world for many years to come.
