Direct services to the homeless. |
André House is inspired by and named after Holy Cross Brother André Bessette, who was known for offering a welcoming presence to the afflicted, hope for the discouraged and healing for the sick. Some even believed Brother André performed miracles.
You can also help create miracles for others. Your experience at André House in Phoenix, Ariz., will be powerful as you work side-by-side with other volunteers, Holy Cross religious and guests to make a difference for those served by André House. Among the opportunities at André House:
- Assisting in the soup kitchen
- Sorting and distributing clothing items
- Providing laundry services
Plus, you'll lend an ear and companionship to these individuals — their stories will have a profound impact on you. The group will also consider issues such as homelessness, poverty and humility. This is a great way to tap into your compassionate side.
