Campus Ministry
Volunteers Shape the World
Campus Ministry is an active clearinghouse for local volunteer opportunities for St. Edward's students. As a student, there are a number of ways to find one that's right for you.
Fall Nonprofit Fair
The Fall Nonprofit Fair promotes volunteer, internship and career opportunities to students who are interested in building their résumé while lending their talents to a local nonprofit. In 2008, more than 35 nonprofit organizations participated.
Organizations that attended the 2008 Fall Nonprofit Fair included:
- Catholic Charities of Central Texas
- Capital Area Food Bank
- Meals on Wheels and More
- Foundation Communities
- Austin Partners in Education
- The Care Communities
Spring Post-graduate Volunteer Fair
Interested in service work after you graduate? Many organizations offer domestic and/or international placements for one to two years. It's all at the Post-graduate Volunteer Fair held each spring at St. Edward's University.
Also, Campus Ministry can provide advice and counseling to help you choose a volunteer opportunity based on your passion, career interests and personal goals, including connecting you to organizations like these:
- Catholic Network of Volunteer Services
- Colorado Vincentian Volunteers
- Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
- Amate House
