Experience Austin from the perspective of the homeless, and experience the homeless as companions, mentors and friends. We will hit the streets in pairs with a designated mentor from the homeless community, carry a $5 daily allowance, eat in soup kitchens, and rely on public services (from restrooms to toothbrushes) to meet our needs. At night, we will sleep as a group at a downtown church.
