Program
The
Master of Liberal Arts is a flexible and creative approach
to graduate education in the humanities, arts, sciences,
and social sciences. Going beyond the boundaries of
the traditional disciplines, the MLA program is an individualized,
interdisciplinary, approach that provides the participant
with the breadth of knowledge, the academic confidence,
and the research skills of the generalist.
The
MLA program assumes that the fundamental issues of human
experience cannot be understood adequately from a single
disciplinary perspective. Thus, the MLA program casts
a wide net over human affairs, probes the most significant
issues of the human spirit, promotes intellectual integration,
and thereby assists the individual's quest for meaning. |
