Teacher
Certification
In cooperation with the School
of Education, New College students pursuing their bachelors
degree may also obtain teacher certification. The coursework
for this degree plan is in a traditional format with
classes meeting weekdays. No evening and weekend classes
exist for this major through New College.
For students who pursue
this degree, a designated New College faculty member
acts as liaison to the Dean of the School of Education
to ensure that each student has met all state requirements
for certification.
Students who have already earned
at least a bachelors degree may pursue post-baccalaureate
teacher certification through the School
of Education. For more information, see Undergraduate
Bulletin, visit their website
or call 512-448-8651.
