| Alpha Sigma Lambda
Alpha Sigma Lambda is an honor society that fosters academic excellence, community service and leadership for adult students. To qualify, students must be at least 24 years old, have a minimum 3.2 GPA and have completed 30 graded hours (15 of which are outside the major area of study). Delta Mu Delta Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society whose purpose is to promote higher scholarship in training for business and to recognize and reward scholastic achievement in business subjects. To qualify, students must be registered in business administration programs and be candidates for the baccalaureate degree; have completed at least half the courses required for the degree; have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher; and be in the top 20 percent of their class.
Human Services Student Organization
This group is open to all Human Services majors and is intended to promote the camaraderie of students in the field of human services. Students come together to engage in discussions, to organize fundraisers in order to attend conferences, and to help one another prepare to enter the job market. Contact: Vicki Totten, 512-416-5889.
New College Activity Association
The New College Activity Association promotes a sense of community among New College students by promoting campus involvement; organizing social gatherings for students, faculty, staff and families; providing current New College students with information about facilities and services available at St. Edward’s University; providing a system for networking for employment prospects; and performing community service projects. New College Business Students Organization
The NC/BSO promotes the advancement of New College and PACE BBA students in the discipline by providing opportunities to interact with other business professionals and to make personal contacts and to gain an understanding of the issues facing business professionals today. The organization encourages opportunities for leadership, participation, mentoring, and the development of current students and alumni. New College Writers
New College Writers provides a forum for New College students to share their writing interests and to participate in workshops, seminars and other activities that promote skills in and appreciation of fiction, poetry and nonfiction writing. Contact: Tim Green, 512-448-8749.
Philosophy Interest Group
The Philosophy Group offers a forum for the interchange of ideas on a variety of current and historical topics. The group, consisting of students, staff, faculty and individuals from the Austin community, focuses on a selected topic as a foundation for discussion. Psychological Society

Psi Chi
New College students with at least nine hours in Psychology and a grade point average of 3.0 are eligible for membership in Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
