Kin Barksdale worked in oil and gas exploration as a
geophysicist in Texas, Colorado and Australia for 12
years. During the mid-1980s, he changed his career to
work in the information technology field. He worked
for the United Airlines reservation system APPOLO as
a system performance engineer and for EDS as a system
engineer until 1995. As for education, he has a B.S.
in Accounting and a M.S. in Information Systems from
Colorado University. He taught at Colorado University
before becoming the Computer Information Science department
head for Howard Payne University. Currently, he is a
member of ACM and of MENSA. His areas if interest are
human computer interaction and multimedia technology.
