Joyce Keller, Ph.D., CPA, CGFM, holds a bachelors and a master’s degree in piano, a master’s degree in accounting, and a doctorate in the statistics and program evaluation areas of educational psychology. She has taught piano at the University of the Incarnate Word, accounting at the University of Texas at Austin, and currently teaches accounting and statistics at St. Edward’s University. Dr. Keller was a recipient of several teaching awards from the University of Texas business school.

Dr. Keller has several years of experience as a state auditor and has conducted a private consulting business since 1995, developing cost, pricing, and performance measurement systems and evaluating programs. She has developed and taught courses for the Government Audit Training Institute in Washington, D.C., teaching at the United Nations in New York and at the U.S. Army headquarters in Atlanta, among others. She has written a book, published by the Institute of Internal Auditors, Activity-Based Costing and Management Tools in Government and the Private Sector, as well as numerous handbooks, reports, chapters, case studies, and articles. She has made presentations at national conferences of the American Educational Research Association, the American Evaluation Association, and the Accounting Educators’ Conference. She has written extensively for the Certified Internal Audit exam.
