Message from the Director

Colleagues in Public Safety:

Knowledge is power! The Public Safety Management Program aims to empower its participants and their organizations. The program is designed to allow individuals to obtain new ideas, vision, tools, and skills.

The management and leadership of public safety personnel, whether in law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical services, emergency telecommunications, or corrections, have more commonalties than differences. Those common principles of management and leadership will be emphasized during the program in a way that allows for greater collaboration.

The adult learning model emphasizes integrating the participant’s background and experiences with new ideas and perspectives. Building upon these life experiences allows for quicker and deeper learning with greater impact upon both the individual and the organization.

The advanced pace and flexibility of the program allows for graduation at a quicker rate than any other program. In the process, you and your organization will be transformed, and our communities will be safer.

New College stands ready to work with individuals and organizations to devise ways to meet their development needs. Please contact me at (512) 428-1063 or at craigc@admin.stedwards.edu.

Sincerely,

Craig Campbell
Director, Public Safety Management Program
