St. Edwards University announces 1999-2000 Presidential Award recipients
AUSTIN St. Edward's University presented 12 students with Presidential Awards during an Honors Night Ceremony on Monday, May 1, in the Mabee Ballroom of the Robert and Pearle Ragsdale Center on campus.
The universitys prestigous Presidential Awards are given to six to 12 qualified outstanding seniors and graduate students who have exemplified qualities of leadership and academic performance, including the students contributions and service to the university and other communities.
Faculty, staff and students nominate undergraduate and graduate students, who must complete essays, provide information on activities and honors, and submit letters or recommendation. Award recipients are named in May.
St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic liberal arts university of 3,700 students in Austin.
