Three new development officers appointed at St. Edward's University's
Mollie O'Hara Butler will serve as director of annual giving, a position that directs the President's Associates program and leads the annual giving team. She brings experience from a variety of annual giving programs, alumni and external relations, and major gift solicitation. Butler earned her bachelor's degree in international studies at Southwestern University.
Michael Guerra, former director of Volunteers for Education and Social Services, will serve as director of corporation relations, a position which spearheads corporate relations outreach efforts for the university. Guerra is no stranger to St. Edward's University. He is both an alumnus ('83) and an adjunct faculty member. He earned his bachelor's degree in religious studies at St. Edward's University and his master's degree in sociology at Fordham University.
Ann Starr, who also brings fundraising experience along with a background in education, will serve as assistant director of annual giving programs, a position that organizes annual fundraising projects that include phonothons and faculty and staff campaigns. She earned her bachelor's degree in education at Kent State University.
St. Edward's University is an independent, Catholic liberal arts university of 3,700 students in Austin. It was founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
