Southwestern Bell presents College Assistance Migrant Program at St. Edward's University with $25,000 Gift

AUSTIN-St. Edward's University recently received a $25,000 award from Southwestern Bell. The donation will be used to fund scholarships for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at St. Edwardês University, which provides educational assistance to students who are the sons and daughters of migrant and seasonal farm-workers. Eva MunozÙ the Southwestern Bell representative who presented St. Edward's University President George E. Martin with the $25,000 check, was a CAMP student and graduated from St. Edward's in 1980.

The donation will be used to fund CAMP scholarships for incoming freshmen, which cover tuition, books and supplies, room and board, transportation, health insurance, and a modest monthly stipend, as well as scholarships for continuing CAMP students.

St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic liberal arts university of 3,800 students in Austin.
