Mediation expert Bourgeios to address business community on reducing conflict

Gregory T. Bourgeios, a partner with Galton, Cunningham & Bourgeios, P.L.L.C., explains "Reducing the Cost of Conflict: how to use mediation more effectively" during an Executive Briefing at noon Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, in the Ragsdale Center's Mabee Ballroom at St. Edward's University. Bourgeios' firm has mediated more than 3,000 disputes and trained more than 1,000 both nationally and internationally. In June, Galton, Cunningham & Bourgeios opened the Lakeside Mediation Center, a tranquil environment dedicated entirely to mediation.

Bourgeios' presentation to the Austin business community is sponsored by the Business Development Council (BDC), a group of business leaders who serve as donors and advisors to St. Edward's University. Seating is limited, so interested parties are asked to RSVP at 448-8512 by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2001.

St. Edward's University trustee and former Secretary of State Myra McDaniel will introduce Bourgeios. Hosts for this briefing include Cindy Matula of Chase Manhattan Bank, Jean Arias of Morgan, Keegan & Co., Inc., Tommy Cowan of Graeber, Simmons & Cowan, and John Poth of ProjectUs Advertising & Marketing.

St. Edward's University is an independent Catholic liberal arts university of 3,800 students in Austin. It was founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross.
