Feature film actor and Star Trek regular join St. Edward's University cast in "E/R" Production

St. Edward's University alumni Tim Russ, who stars as Tuvok (a Vulcan) on the popular drama series "Star Trek: Voyager" and feature film actor Bruce Young, whose film credits include Phenomenon, Basic Instinct and The Color of Money, will join St. Edward's University's Mary Moody Northern Theatre cast in "E/R Emergency Room."

This slice of life comic drama is set in a Chicago hospital emergency room on a busy Saturday night. With humanity beating at the door, these doctors and nurses heroically save the lives of the off-beat cast of characters who enter. E/R contains graphic representations of medical procedures and trauma.

Productions of "E/R Emergency Room" will run April 18-29 at St. Edward's University's Mary Moody Northern Theatre located at 3001 South Congress Avenue. Show times are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call 448-8484 for reservations.

The play was written by Ronald Berman, Zaid Farid, Richard Fire, Stuart Gordon, Gary Houston, Carolyn Purdy-Gordon, Tom Towles and Bruce Young.

It is being directed by Ev Lunning, Jr.
