Mary Moody Northen Theatre at St. Edward's University presents ROMEO & JULIET

William Shakespeare's tragic tale of star-crossed lovers comes to life on the Mary Moody Northen Theatre stage. When Romeo and Juliet first meet they fall deeply and madly in love-each initially unaware that the other is their bitter enemy. This bond of love is so strong and the possibility of its exposure so dangerous that the events following lead to the questioning of family loyalty, the destruction of innocence and ultimately the loss of life itself. This well-known story of feuding families and forbidden love, set in Renaissance Italy, bursts with the poetry and passion of one of the best playwrights of all time.
