St. Edward's University Student Government Association Hosts Austin Mayoral Candidates Forum
With eight candidates in the race to be Austin's next mayor, it can be difficult to keep up with who stands for what. So with a little under a month remaining until Election Day, the St. Edward's University Student Government Association will host a public forum to discover exactly that. The forum is free and open to the public. All eight mayoral contenders have been invited, and the following candidates have confirmed their participation: Leslie Cochran, Marc Katz, Christopher N. Keating, Brad Meltzer, Michael "Max" Nofziger and Will Wynn.
The forum will be moderated by Geronimo M. Rodriguez Jr., a 1990 graduate of St. Edward's University and former White House insider. Rodriguez currently practices law at Leonard Frost Levin & Van Court in Austin, where he focuses on municipal finance, bond, administrative, and legislative matters. Rodriguez also serves as an adjunct faculty member at St. Edward's.
The city election will be held on Saturday, May 3. Early voting begins on Wednesday, April 16.
