Marsha Kelliher Appointed Dean of the School of Management at St. Edward's University
St. Edward's University administrators recently announced the appointment of Marsha Kelliher, former dean of the Graduate School of Management, to dean of the School of Management and Business. In July, St. Edward's merged its undergraduate School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Management to form the School of Management and Business.
With extensive experience in both the courtroom and classroom, Kelliher has designed and instructed numerous courses, including Business Law and Ethics, Labor Relations, and E-Commerce and the Law. A past winner of the Greater Austin YWCA Woman of the Year in Education, Kelliher is committed to helping others achieve their goals through consulting and her involvement in community programs such as the International Center of Austin, Leadership Texas, the Association of Women in Technology Austin, and the YWCA.
"Marsha is not only a valued teacher but also a well-respected leader," said George E. Martin, president of St. Edward's University. "She encourages and motivates other faculty members with her passion for academic excellence, strong and sincere community involvement, innovation, and ethics."
Kelliher earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law and graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego with a specialized law degree in Labor and Employment Law. She holds an undergraduate degree in Personnel Management with a concentration in Labor Relations from Indiana University. She has practiced law in both Texas and California and is an arbitrator and certified mediator.
