Win A Scholarship (or refer a friend)
Have you heard the good news? St. Edward's University is giving away a year of tuition, a Dell™ notebook and an Apple® iPod. The "Learn to Think" Student Ad Contest encourages high school students to design an original ad in the style of the university's award-winning advertising campaign that playfully juxtaposes dynamic, real-world situations against actual St. Edward's course titles.
For high school students.
If you're a college-bound high school student looking for some free tuition, this is your last chance to enter.
For St. Edward's students.
Unfortunately, current St. Edward's students aren't eligible. (If it makes you feel any better, current faculty, staff and their immediate family members aren't eligible.) But, if you are a current student and still feel the muse of inspiration, play along. You'll get a hip T-shirt for playing and help your alma mater at the same time. Here's how:
- Be a hero and refer a friend or family member. If you have a sibling, cousin, neighbor or other beloved acquaintance, pass on the information about the "Learn to Think" Student Ad Contest to them. (Hey, if they win, they'll owe you big time.)
- Go for the glory instead of the gold. If you're a current St. Edward's student, go ahead and enter an ad just for fun. St. Edward's students must hand-deliver their ad to the marketing office, located in Main Building , room 303. Who knows? You may eventually see your idea as part of next year's ad campaign.
You'll get a groovy, gratis St. Edward's T-shirt just for designing your own "Learn to think" ad. Not to mention the bragging rights you'll earn if your idea turns up in a future campaign.
Here's how to play.
Everything you need to design your own ad is available online, including the previous ad campaign. So get to work and get it in on time: the deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004.
