St. Edward's University Presents Reading from Award-Winning Faculty Writer

The St. Edwards's University School of Humanities is pleased to present a reading by its English professor and national award-winning writer, Catherine Rainwater, PhD, as part of its Visiting Writer Series. On Wednesday, April 27, Rainwater will read selected works including "The Way Things Break," a lyrical meditation on glass and glass art collecting.

Author of numerous articles, books and chapters in books on literary topics, Rainwater is the recipient of several national writing awards including the 2004 Penelope Niven Creative Nonfiction Literary Award. Her most recent publications include Figuring Animals: Essays on Animal Images in Art, Literature, Philosophy, and Popular Culture and Dreams of Fiery Stars. Two of her creative nonfiction essays are scheduled to appear in an upcoming issue of New Texas.
