St. Edward's University Lecture to Discuss The Role of Laity in the Catholic Church


On Wednesday, March 29, at 5 p.m., the Rev. Edward A. Malloy, CSC will present “That the World May be Transformed: The Role of Laity in the Catholic Church” as part of the Most Reverend Bishop John McCarthy Lecture Series on the Catholic Church in the 21st Century. Rev. Malloy is a professor in the department of theology and former president at University of Notre Dame.

St. Edward's created the lecture series to honor Bishop McCarthy, who led the Diocese of Austin from 1985 to 2001, and to underscore the university's commitment to its Catholic roots and Holy Cross Heritage.
