St. Edward's University announces new Master of Science in Project Management
“The Master of Science in Project Management will strengthen your managerial competence,” said John Loucks, Professor of Management and Director of the Project Management Program in the School of Management and Business at St. Edward's. “The degree will equip you with the skills and tools you need to bring projects to a successful conclusion, on time and on budget.”
Project Management is the one career field that spans every major industry including: engineering, software development, utilities, government, nonprofit organizations, consulting, entertainment and manufacturing.
According to a recent salary survey by the Project Management Institute, the national mean salary for project managers is $90,000 – and more if the employee has a certificate or master's degree in project management. In researching the Austin-area market demand for graduate degrees in project management, St. Edward's Office of Graduate and Adult Services found a strong corporate demand for project management degree opportunities.
A certificate in project management is offered at the St. Edward's Professional Education Center for those not interested in pursuing a master's degree. The certificate class is designed for today's busy professional and can be completed in only 14 weeks.
St. Edward's University offers undergraduate degrees in more than 50
areas, as well as eight graduate degrees: Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in Human Services, Master of Liberal Arts, Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Ethics, Master of Arts in Counseling, Master of Science in Computer Information Systems, Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Science in Project Management.
