Give Back to the Neighbors of St. Edward's University: Sign Up for The BIG Event

The BIG Event, a community service project benefiting the neighbors and neighborhoods surrounding St. Edward's University, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. Join in this campus-wide event to complete service projects at homes, churches and schools in the community surrounding St. Edward's.
During the BIG Event, students, faculty and staff members will provide neighbor-friendly services such as pulling weeds, planting flowers, washing windows, cleaning gutters, or mending fences. The volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. between the lower soccer field and baseball field to have breakfast and receive job assignments.
Service to others is part of the St. Edward's University mission and an expression of the university's Holy Cross heritage, which encourages students to understand themselves, clarify their personal values and recognize their responsibility to the world community.
Students who participate in this event will earn co-curricular transcript credit and/or service hours. This service project is not suitable for anyone under 18 years old.
For more information and to register, e-mail bigevent@stedwards.edu
The BIG Event is sponsored by the St. Edward's University Student Government Association, Student Service Council and Student Alumni Association with support from Student Life and the Marketing Office.
A special thanks to H-E-B and Sweet Leaf Tea for providing food and drinks for the volunteers.
