Residential Village Grand Opening Event — Feb. 17

Students at St. Edward's University have a new housing option on campus — one that brings retail and residence hall space together in the same area to create "downtown living" in the heart of campus. Join us for a grand opening celebration at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17.

During the event you'll be able to:

• Take a tour of the buildings and see the rooms
• Enjoy free food
• Groove to live entertainment
• Participate in the online university housing sign-up

Located on the east side of campus, this new housing option serves as a town square to unite the university's apartments and East and Teresa halls. The complex offers courtyards, outdoor spaces and a pedestrian street for students, faculty and staff members alike to gather. A new dining facility will open later this month and a combined Health and Counseling Center will be available to students in March.

Designed by Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena, the space incorporates innovative design elements along with a wealth of student services and conveniences.

Residential Village Highlights:

• 119,000 square feet
• Three buildings: Lady Bird Johnson Hall, Le Mans Hall, Edmund Hunt Hall
• A dining facility will offer baked goods, a café, grill, entrées and convenience area
• The Huddle, a late night dining option located in Le Mans Hall opening later this month, will offer burritos, tacos and quesadillas
