Caps Off to the Graduates
A Look at May 2010 Commencement
As St. Edward’s University celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, a number of milestones and special moments were celebrated and recorded for the university’s history book. We’ve compiled the photos, videos and memories for you to enjoy and share.
Graduates and their families enjoyed the privilege of having both a Cardinal and a Bishop to celebrate their Baccalaureate Mass. Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, D.C. presided and Bishop Joe S. Vasquez, Bishop of Austin was the concelebrant at a special Baccalaureate Mass at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church.
A record number of St. Edward’s students crossed the stage at this year’s graduation – 649 degrees were conferred. Read the story in Hilltop Views and watch as graduates reflect on their time at St. Edward’s.
St. Edward’s made history this year by asking our graduates to help create the first-ever, interactive and socially connected graduation. View the photos and online story. Read more about this innovative project.
St. Edward’s faculty and staff members took time to say goodbye and create video well-wishes for the 2010 graduates.
