125th Birthday Weekend Celebration
You Say It's Your Birthday? We're Gonna Have a Good Time.
Happy Birthday To You St. Edward's University. This 125th anniversary year has been one in which we've honored our heritage, celebrated important milestones, looked to the future, and now, well…it's time to have a party.
Yes, we're going to a party, party.
The 125 Birthday Weekend Celebration is packed with fun and service. We don't want you to miss out on any of it. Clear your calendars and join us for:
Friday, Oct. 22: 125th Birthday Party
Time: 4-8 p.m.
Location: Main Building Lawn
The fun begins at 4 p.m. with free food, hot air balloon rides, and live music by Mates of State, so we'd like you to dance.
Come hungry for tasty Austin favorites: tacos from Cabo Bob's and gigantic pizza by the slice from Roppolo's. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Austin skyline from a hot air balloon, or keep your feet firmly planted on the ground as you watch the first-ever student Cake Off event.
Attention Students: Ever wanted to compete on the Food Network or work with the Cake Boss? Form a team now and compete in the Cake Off to make the best cake ever. The event is sponsored by Bon Appétit and Coca-cola. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. For more information or to sign up visit Student Life (Ragsdale 304) or Collegiate Link.
You won't need money for this event, but we will take the t-shirt off your back. Operation T will be at the event to receive your unwanted and gently used t-shirts. Operation T is a project developed by St. Edward's University Brown Scholar Irma Fernandez. In cooperation with a church in Northern Mexico, your gently used t-shirts will go to needy children. Donate a t-shirt and receive a 125th Birthday koozie.
But the celebration doesn't end Friday night. Take a cha-cha-cha chance and join us for a full weekend of community service and birthday fun!
