The Holy Cross Institute creates a national network of secondary schools, colleges and universities founded and sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross in the U.S. The institute provides resources, programs and events that educate on the unique educational legacy of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
This year, the Congregation of Holy Cross called for a “Year of the Brother” which recognizes the integral role Brothers have in the life and ministry of Holy Cross and serves as an opportunity to celebrate the Brother’s vocation.
By having the Holy Cross Institute and Brothers on campus, St. Edward’s University is equipped to educate the hearts and minds of students. One of the ways this is done is through the Moreau House, a communal living opportunity which provides a look into the lives of the Brothers
Gusty Simpson, a senior Education major, decided to learn more about Holy Cross and the Brothers by living in the Moreau House.
As a result of his experience, Simpson says, “I believe I will always try to emulate their commitment to compassion and stay true to the Holy Cross tradition.”
