St. Edward's University welcomes students to campus on Friday, Aug. 24, as they move into the university’s residence halls. If students need help with their belongings, they don’t have to look very far. Student volunteers will be available between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to help freshmen settle in to their new home on campus. Just look for the neon T-shirts.

Welcome Days: Move-in Weekend Schedule.

Freshman students can start the year off with music, food and new friends the First Friday Block Party at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24.  On Saturday, all students and parents are invited to take a break from moving and enjoy time with family, friends and members of the St. Edward's community while eating Texas barbecue at the Welcome BBQ at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Parking Garage.

On Sunday, Aug. 26, make time for some very special St. Edward’s traditions. A new tradition, the Legacy Walk will begin at 2:30 p.m. and marks freshmen entrance into the university community. The Legacy Walk will culminate at the Medallion Ceremony, where faculty and staff members will join President George E. Martin as he inducts freshmen into the academic community. The ceremony is held from 3-4 p.m. in the Recreation and Convocation center. During the ceremony, freshmen will receive a university medallion and gain a greater understanding of the university’s Holy Cross tradition.

Need help navigating the campus? Please feel free to ask a member of the St. Edward’s community or consult a directional kiosk near the Bookstore.
