This fall, St. Edward’s University welcomes 120 new international students to campus – an institutional record and increase over last year’s 101 new international students. Of the 120 international students, 72 join our freshman class of 780 students.
These students hail from 25 countries and can speak 27 languages other than English.
St. Edward’s University is a diverse educational community that is committed to being a top liberal arts university by providing students with a global perspective. By having a large population of international students, Hilltoppers gain new perspectives in the classroom, enjoy a rich, multi-lingual campus environment, and benefit from deeper understanding of diverse cultures.
Our new international students come from Angola, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Panama, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, and Venezuela.
At St. Edward’s, providing global experiences on campus in Austin, or at an international partner campus, is part of the university’s strategic effort to prepare students for the opportunities and challenges of a 21st century world.
