Overview:

The Director of Graduate, New College and Transfer Admission will lead a team of admission counselors in a comprehensive, data driven plan to recruit graduate students, non-traditional adult learners, and traditional transfer students to the university.  Reporting to the Associate Vice President & Dean of Admission, this position will have broad responsibility for developing and implementing a strategic recruitment plan for these audiences.  This position calls for an innovative and creative thinker, a motivational leader, and an energetic contributor to the university’s enrollment efforts.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to recruit graduate, adult learners and transfer students to the university
Develop and mentor a team of admission counselors and oversee territory management plans and goal setting
Work directly with and manage an individual territory of applicants
Review and decision admission applications
Work with the marketing office to develop an effective print and electronic communication plan for prospective students
Work with New College and graduate faculty and advisors to communicate recruitment strategies and changes in the marketplace
Manage an admission funnel from inquiry to enrollment to accomplish university goals
Establish and maintain regular contact with undergraduate and graduate institutions, major employers and with civic organizations in the Central Texas area in order to market St. Edward’s programs 
Produce and analyze complex data, including regular admission reports for wide distribution at the university
Oversee the coordination of on and off campus recruiting events
Work with the faculty and academic deans to provide input to program development
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Master’s degree required.
History of exceptional leadership and managerial skills
Progressive experience working in the field of college admission at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
The ideal candidate will have experience working with both traditional and non-traditional student markets
Ability to compile and analyze complex data required
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Facility with technology required.
A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required
Ability to comply with workplace guidelines and attendance requirements
Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required

Special Conditions:

<p>Position occasionally requires periods of travel and may call for weekends away from Austin.  Occasional evening and weekend duties required.</p>
