Overview:
Adjunct faculty appointment to teach 1-2 sections of College Algebra and/or Precalculus during the fall semester of 2013.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include teaching 1-2 sections of College Algebra and/or Precalculus, depending on department needs. This entails following a common syllabus, utilizing online homework and learning management systems (e.g., WebAssign, WileyPlus, Blackboard), holding 1-2 office hours per week, and keeping in contact with the course coordinator, primarily by email, for common assignments and exams.
Qualifications:
Ph. D. or Master’s degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics courses. Strong professional commitment to undergraduate education in mathematics is expected. The successful candidate will demonstrate potential for excellence in classroom teaching. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
