SEU APARTMENTS
The St. Edward's University apartments were constructed in two phases. The Maryhill Apartment was constructed in 1996 and houses 172 residents. They are named after Maryhill College, an all women’s college that was located where St. Edward's University now stands. The second phase, Hilltopper Heights was constructed in 1999 and houses 174 residents. They are affectionately named after St. Edward's mascot the Hilltopper.
The St. Edward's University Apartments house primarily our upper-class students. The SEU apartments provide a unique opportunity for students to create their own space by offering them the feel of independent off campus living while still offering the amenities of living on campus. The apartment residents have the chance to show their style by furnishing and decorating their apartment. Below are some of the features and amenities that the apartment community has to offer.

| Eligibility Requirements |
| To be eligible to apply and live in the St. Edwards University Apartments, you must:
- Be accepted for admission to St. Edward's University.
- Submit a letter of intent to attend St. Edward's and pay enrollment deposit.
- Not be a first-time freshman
- Be a St. Edward's University student in good academic, financial, and judicial standing.
Married students may apply for a St. Edward's University apartment only if (bold text) both of the marriage partners are current St. Edward's University students. Children are not allowed to reside in the apartments.

| KEY APARTMENT POLICIES |
Austin Energy Utilities and Services: Apartment residents are required to contact Austin Energy with in 72hrs of moving in to have the electricity and other city services billing switched to their name.
Maintenance: St. Edward's University in responsible for the maintaining of the apartment community. Maintenance requests should be submitted to your Apartment Director. Residence Life and Physical Plant will complete all maintenance in a respectful and timely manner. Apartment residents are responsible to change and replace their own light bulbs in the apartments, except the long fluorescent tubs.
Apartment Care and Decoration: All apartment facilities including walls, carpets, doors, appliances, light fixtures, downspouts, etc., are property of the university. The apartment should be left in the same condition in which it was found at check-in, with reasonable allowances for wear and tear. Painting or wallpapering is not allowed. Students are not allowed to install ceiling fans. Nothing should be attached to the ceilings. For fire safety reasons, fabrics, flags, netting and other materials should not be draped over or near lights or lamps.
Bicycles: Residents must park bicycles on the bicycle racks provided throughout the apartment complex or store them in their own apartments. Bicycles should not be parked on apartment stairwells or railings. The university will not be liable for any missing bicycles. The University Police Department will remove improperly secured bicycles.
Grills: Outdoor cooking is not permitted on the apartment patios or balconies due to fire hazard, but it is allowed on the grills provided by the university in the courtyard area. No cooking grills of any kind — including gas, charcoal or electric grills — can be used or stored in any university apartment or apartment balcony or patio. If a grill is observed on the balcony or patio or in any apartment, all apartment residents are subject to a $50 fine and $10 per day for additional days until the owner can arrange to remove the grill from university property. The fine will be deducted from the residents’ deposit. Any damages caused by the grill will be deducted from the residents’ deposits in addition to the above fines.
Keys or Lockouts: Each resident will be issued an apartment key during check-in. This key is not to be loaned or duplicated for any reason. If a resident loses an apartment key, a replacement key will be issued by an apartment staff member and must be returned within 48 hours. If the key has not been returned to the apartment office within 48 hours, the apartment lock will be changed, and the resident will be charged a $35 lock-change fee, plus a $15 key-replacement fee.
Pets: Pets are not allowed in the apartments and all areas associated with apartments and residence halls at any time. Fish in tanks less than 30 gallons and guide dogs are the exceptions.
Visitors are not allowed to bring their pets onto the premises. Violators are subject to a $200 fine and $10 per day for additional days until the pet is removed from the premises. The fine will be deducted from the resident’s deposit. Any damages caused by the pet will be deducted from the resident’s deposit in addition to the above fines.
Windows, Patios, Balconies, Apartment Grounds and Entryways: Windows, patios and balconies must be maintained in acceptable conditions at all times. Hanging items from balcony and patio railings, throwing items from balconies, and leaving items on balconies and patios that create unsafe or unsightly conditions are prohibited. Cooking on patios and balconies constitutes a fire hazard and is prohibited. Tinfoil, posters, flags or any offensive materials are not permitted to be displayed in windows at any time. Birdfeeders are not allowed. Residents are expected to keep balconies and patios in a safe and presentable condition. They cannot be used to store the following: boxes, broken furniture, garbage, and hanging items such as signs or clothes. Trash should not be left outside of apartment entrances. This can attract insects and rodents. There is a $25 charge for trash left on balconies and entryways.

Mark Convery
My name is Mark Convery and I am starting my third year here at St. Edward's University. This will be my second year in the apartments but my first year in as the solo Apartment Director. I completed my B.S. in Sports Management-Diving Industry at Barry University in Miami, Florida. While at Barry I was a Resident Assistant for three years and involved in Student Life. After my undergrad I attend Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina where I received my Masters of Education in Counselor Education-Student Affairs. At Clemson I was an Upper Class Hall Director.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA I am a huge Steelers and Penguins fan. I enjoy outdoor activities. I try to bike on the trails and get on the volleyball court as much as possible. I love going to the movies and have to get popcorn. My office is located in Community Building 2 (CB2). If there's ever anything I can do, or a question I might be able to answer, please don't hesitate to stop by!
Adam Robertson
My name is Adam Robertson. I am a junior majoring in Political Science with my concentration in Pre-Law. I am not only an RA but also a head coach at Austin Regents School for Boys, 6th Grade Flag Football, and part of the staff at the SEU fitness center. I love sports and will be heading intramurals in the apartments. I am spontaneous and seek new fun adventures; at the same time I never will turn down a night in with some friends playing game or watching movies. If you need anything or just want to hang out stop by apartment 213!
Paola Ortiz
My name is Paola Ortiz, this fall I will be a senior at St. Edward's University. My major is in Psychology with a minor in Communication. I've lived in Austin all my life but I absolutely love to travel! I am a movie fanatic and love ice cream. This is my second year as an RA. I'm really looking forward to this year! Feel free to look for me and chat.
Melanie Vasquez
Hello! I’m Melanie Vasquez and I am a Resident Assistant in Hilltopper Heights. I have been an RA for half a year and I look forward to this year being fantastic! I am a Theater Arts major and an Education minor. I grew up in El Paso, Tx. Some of my favorite activities include playing Dance Dance Revolution, reading, and catching up on all the addicting reality TV shows. This is my junior year at St. Ed’s and I am so excited to work with all the residents in the apartments. I am here for all my residents, whether it is to talk about a difficult situation or just to have a friend to hang out with. Don’t be afraid to stop and say hello. Have a great and successful year!
Elora Sanchez
Hello everyone! My name is Elora Sanchez and I am a Resident Assistant for the Hilltopper Heights Apartments. I am a junior here at St. Edwards University where I am majoring in biology. I plan on attending medical school and becoming an ER physician. This is my second year attending the university and my first year on board the RA staff. I’m excited to get the year started and hope to get to know each and every one of my residents. I am a laid back person and very easy to talk to so feel free to stop by and say hi. Nathaniel Barstad
Hi my name is Nathaniel Barstad and this is my first year as an RA at St. Edwards University. I am a Kinesiology major while be certified in Education. I am originally from Glasgow, Montana and transferred to St. Edwards University my junior year from Miles Community College in Miles City, MT. While in college I have played four years of college basketball and two of the have been at St. Edwards. In my free time I enjoy doing anything dealing with working out, being outdoors, hanging out with my friends, and also meeting new people. I look forward to being an RA this year and all the challenges and experiences it will bring. If you need anything or just want to stop by I'll be in apartment 213 all year.
Kayla Knox
Hello everyone! My name is Kayla Knox. I was born and raised in a small town in southeast Texas (Port Neches). I have two older brothers who have both graduated college and a younger sister who attends St. Edwards! My parents moved overseas to Doha, Qatar my sophomore year and it has been a wonderful experience for both me and my family to explore a different part of the world. I am now a senior and I will be graduating in May with a degree in Sociology. I have plans to get a Masters in College Student Development at some point in the future. I have been a Resident Assistant since January of 2008 and absolutely love being around college students and getting to know new faces. I will be the RA representative for the apartments Resident Event Planners (REP) this year and look forward to getting some great events planned for all of the Apartment Residents! I love being active, listening to all kinds of music, supporting our Hilltoppers, and attending different functions on campus. If you ever need anyone to talk to about getting involved or just to chat don't hesitate to find me!! Hope you all have a fantastic year!!

Hello, my name is Carey Richardson and I will be an RA in the Apartments this upcoming fall semester. I’m originally from Houston (Katy/Cypress area). I am a Graphic Design major that loves video games and any sport that you could name. Anytime you want to play basketball or volleyball I will try my hardest to be there. I look forward to being an RA this semester and also look forward to meeting you in the future.
Tristan Hallman
My name is Tristan Hallman and this is my first year as an RA. I am a junior majoring in Political Science. In addition to being a RA, I am the news section co-editor for the Hilltop Views and I work for the events staff for our Hilltopper sports teams.
